Tales of the Tales – the story of the Tales of – #6 Tales of Rebirth series

The brainchild of Team Symphonia died out in 2003 and showed that the new team can give odds to old people from Team Destiny. What will the experienced veterans answer their colleagues? Meanwhile, they were engaged in the development of a new Tales series Game exclusively for the Japanese market. All of them live rather peacefully and no contradictions based on racial affiliation are visible, except perhaps in half -bloods, both races include with disgust. And although the world does not have the name, all reasonable creatures are the subjects of the kingdom called Caregia, whose king at the time of the beginning of the game fell ill. Before his death, he took advantage of the power of the moon (not the one you thought about), which catastrophically affected the whole country. Monsters called viruses began to appear everywhere, and some people received force that they could not control. She pulled out and began to harm others, which sowed chaos around the world. Strength in Tales of Rebirth is a certain opportunity to control the forces of nature, until the death of the king it was only at Gadzhum, but now I have awakened in people.

One of these “lucky ones” was the main character Veig (Veig), he got the power of ice, he could not cope with her and accidentally froze his childhood girlfriend Claire (Kurea), after which he spent the whole year in an attempt to free the girl, until two more bearers of the Force came to the rescue. These were Eugene, the former head of the royal shield (elite unit for the protection of the royal family), and Mao, his friend and ally. They helped Weiga to pull the Claire from the ice and invited him to join their detachment in order to figure out all the muddy affairs that are being done in the kingdom. He would be glad to refuse, but suddenly two members of the royal shield (already others) attack the village and abduct the Claire. And all this three carriers of the Force goes after them in pursuit. It turns out that Queen Agate, she was the king’s daughter, ordered her to be delivered by the most beautiful women of Hum and one of them was Claire. We must pay tribute to Veig’s friend, after saving the art of ice, she showed pretty nonsense and resistance, and after the abduction she tried to leave tips, supported her friends in misfortune, protruded in support of the equality of races and even tried to reason the queen. Soon, under the influence of the evil forces of Khum and Gadzhum, they begin to hate each other, and the main characters have to solve this problem and to reconcile residents.

In general, the plot should appeal to girls, there are beautiful, smart and brave women, there are knights with pathos statements about the salvation of their ladies who come to the rescue at the very last moment. There are men suffering from love who cannot think of anything other than their women, girls who are ready for everything for love and of course self -sacrifice.
The characters outwardly turned out to be pretty cute and pleasant in appearance. Matsumi Foreign Mats, who had already put her hand to the heroes of Tales of Destiny, was engaged in the design, to look at them the pleasure, especially at the queen Agate. The advantage of everything is that the game is made in an old -fashioned spiting format, which is never at all outdated, and with the capabilities of PS2 it gives out chic landscapes that go to the head of the absurd 3D of those times.

As for the characters, they are quite template and naive, I do not put it on the minus, because someone really likes something in the light without psychological troubles. Nevertheless, each of the heroes has their own problems with which they cope and even undergo tests to get rid of them. If everything is good with the heroes, then the misfortune is generally trouble, they are evil simply because they were no cool, they were not opened in any way, they have no background, and motivation is at the level of the skirting board, the last boss is just evil, it is true that it is just an evil that does not even have a line of dialogue and any personality.

But the series was popular not only at the expense of heroes and plot, there was always important gameplay and battles. This time, the developers were able to surprise, they made the combat system completely unlike other units. This primarily concerns the regeneration of HP, now there are no chilers in the team and a strip of life is replenished over time, after impacting equipment or when using the consumable. But instead of Hilery, a character with interesting mechanics appeared, Annie can create circles that enhance the characters in them, eliminate statuses, spoil life to enemies and enhance HP regeneration. In addition, a cube of power appeared, a certain measure of the character’s strength, each peak of which has a certain passive ability. The cube can be rotated so that it looks at the player of one of the six faces (a square is obtained), to each peak that looks at you, you can tie the equipment and when using this technique, the passive is intensified. That is, at the same time you can pump only four passives and it is important to choose the right one you need. There is no strip of TP (something like mana) in battle now and instead of it used FG cells for each ability, which are independently filled and spent when using technology.

Perhaps after reading this paragraph you have a dream from a bunch of incomprehensible information, but I deliberately tried to reveal all the features of the combat system (or at least those that I know), so that those who decide to get to know Tales of Rebirth at least approximately understand what and how they did not repeat my convulsive experience in finding information.

The rest of the time, in addition to the battles in the game, you can crafting stones that increase the characteristics of the characters, cooking, which in the absence of chilers and meager consumables became indispensable, and diverse minigraits. The latter just turned out very well, one of my loved ones is a swim on the raft, where you need to dodge the stones, jump back, shoot enemy with a throw of kiwi and at the end to fight the boss. As for me – the best minigra of I have seen in the games of the Tales series. There is also an upgrade of weapons and armor, when using them, you are given experience points that can be spent on sharpening, while choosing what parameters to increase. Such dilemmas appear quite often and in fact it brings diversity to the game.

As a result, the game came out quite unusual and interesting in terms of mechanics, but fresh in the plot. This whole topic with racism pours into the banal phrase “Let’s live together”, there are no philosophical questions and disclosure of the topic of racism. It’s not that there was something to disclose, not getting involved in the struggle of the left and right about the equality of people, but still I wanted some unusual moments, and the only moment was when Gadzhum, left without Hum, began to divide themselves into the highest and lower communities. But the funniest moment was when the inhabitants took up the mind and before the general danger began to do good deeds saturating with the power of the good of the heroes fighting with the head.
